New Engitec Complete CX® Plant at Green Future Battery Recycling (UAE – Dubai)
Since almost fifteen years, UAE has become the vital center of the circular economy. In fact, there are several scrap yards located here and there especially in Jebel Ali Free Zone (Jafza).
In this promising scenario it was quite natural for Sharaf Group award Engitec the supply of a modern plant for the recovery of all valuable components of spent lead/acid batteries.
The Plant – CX® 6tph –based on the most recent technologies developed by Engitec, is designed to treat up to 6 tph of scrapped lead/acid batteries and to produce initially around 12,500 tpy soft lead and lead alloys, with the expectation to sensibly increase the production in the near future.
The Plant is namely composed of Lead Batteries CX® Breaker & Separation; Weak Electrolyte Collection & Filtration; Weak Electrolyte Neutralization; Fines and Coarse Fraction Separation; Lead Paste Filtration; Lead Foundry; Lead Refinery.
During these days – February 2024 – the commissioning Team of Engitec is at Project Site for carrying on the various site activities.
The handover will take place during Q2/2024.
