The European Commission approved the second major European project for battery cell production, entitled “European Battery Innovation – EuBatIn”.
The approved funding of around €2.9 billion euros is linked to the goal of establishing a competitive, innovative and sustainable lithium battery value chain in and Europe. A total of 42 companies from twelve EU member states are involved.
“The transition to climate neutrality, including through clean and low emission mobility, will bring significant opportunities for economic growth, job creation and technological development”.
Engitec Technologies is proud to be part of this revolutionary Project with the development of a technology for the recycling of all kinds of spent lithium batteries on the market.
The Project will develop, starting from the research and development phase: a first Laboratory Plant, a Pilot Plant to be operated in the facility of our IPCEI partner and to show to the stakeholders, scale-up engineering, a first Industrial Plant up to the construction of other Industrial Plants.
